2026 Scholar

MNUSHKIN, Alyssa

The McGill Bermuda Scholarship

The McGill Bermuda Scholarship Trust is pleased to announce that Alyssa Mnushkin has been awarded the McGill Bermuda Scholarship 2026.

Ms Mnushkin, a graduate of the Bermuda High School, has been accepted to study at McGill University in Montreal this Fall, where she will pursue a Mechanical Engineering degree.

Ms Mnushkin completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, studying Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level.

Before leaving for McGill, Ms Mnushkin completed internships at BELCO and at Bermuda’s NASA station, working on flight tracking, navigation, and data analysis. Her technical interests extend to sound engineering: she rose from the Head of Mics to Head of Sound for BHS productions, and also volunteered as a Mics Assistant for Gilbert & Sullivan. She has also been recognized as a generous and committed tutor of STEM subjects within the BHS community, and has supported numerous peers through their studies.

The Trust is happy to share that Ms Mnushkin is also the recipient of McGill University’s Richard Karper Scholarship in Engineering, which is awarded on the basis of academic merit to undergraduate students entering the Faculty of Engineering.

She intends to pursue a career in aerospace engineering.
